Terms and Conditions for the Graduation Ceremony at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences on November 15, 2025
1 General Provisions | Scope of Application
1.1 The following General Terms and Conditions apply to the graduation ceremony of the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, Residenzstraße 8, 91522 Ansbach, represented by the President, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sascha Müller-Feuerstein—hereinafter referred to as Ansbach University of Applied Sciences—and the event attendees (hereinafter referred to as guests) who participate in the graduation ceremony on November 15, 2025.
1.2 By placing an order or purchasing tickets for the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences graduation ceremony, guests acknowledge that these General Terms and Conditions for the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences graduation ceremony are binding upon them and, where applicable, upon any persons they have registered to attend.
1.3 Guests are entitled to attend the event only if they have a valid ticket or equivalent proof of admission.
2 Subject matter of the contract | Implementation of the event
2.1 The subject matter of the contract is the opportunity to attend the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences graduation ceremony, which is governed by these General Terms and Conditions. Details, in particular the essential features of the event and the admission requirements (e.g., necessary tickets), can be found on the event page on the Internet at alumni.hs-ansbach.de.
2.2 Ansbach University of Applied Sciences guarantees the proper implementation of the event and ensures the necessary conditions for this. However, it cannot be guaranteed that the event venue will be heated throughout. Regular ventilation of the premises may be necessary regardless of the outside temperature. Guests are therefore requested to bring suitable clothing if necessary.
3 Registration
Registration is open from July 1, 2025, to October 5, 2025, while supplies last. For guests under the age of 18, their age must be specified during registration. Seat requests will be taken into account, but may be adjusted by the organizer to optimize overall distribution. Each person – including children under the age of 12 – requires their own ticket. For children under the age of 12, a price reduction to a discounted child ticket of €9 can be requested after booking by contacting us by email (alumni@hs-ansbach.de). The subsequent price reduction requires manual processing by Ansbach University of Applied Sciences.
4 Prices
4.1 The ticket price for the entire event is €81 (gross) per person.
4.2 The ticket price includes: champagne reception, certificate award ceremony as part of the ceremony, gala buffet with wine and water on the tables, and access to the after-show party. All other drinks are not included in the ticket price.
4.3 A discounted children’s ticket is available for children under 12 years of age at a price of €9 (gross). This must first be booked as a regular ticket when ordering. After placing the order, an email must be sent to alumni@hs-ansbach.de to manually adjust the ticket category and correct the price accordingly.
5 Cancellation Policy
Tickets may be returned for a full refund of the ticket price through October 5, 2025.
If tickets are returned on or before October 17, 2025, a refund of 40% of the ticket price will be issued.
As of October 18, 2025, no refunds will be issued.
6 Start times and admission
Only the official website operated by Ansbach University of Applied Sciences (alumni.hs-ansbach.de) and the tickets themselves contain binding information (date and start times) about the graduation ceremony. We reserve the right to make changes at short notice. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences accepts no responsibility for information published elsewhere.
7 Cloakroom
At selected events, guests have the option of leaving items of clothing in the cloakroom for safekeeping. The cloakroom staff will issue guests with a cloakroom ticket. The cloakroom will be returned to the guest upon presentation of the cloakroom ticket without verification of entitlement. If the cloakroom ticket is lost, the stored items can only be handed over if the guest has proven or credibly demonstrated their entitlement to them. In the event of loss or damage to the cloakroom, the cloakroom staff must be informed immediately. Complaints after leaving the event will not be accepted. Upon handing over the cloakroom ticket, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences assumes liability for gross negligence or intentional violation of the duty of care by the cloakroom staff. Liability is limited to the current value of the item left in the cloakroom. Cash and other items left in the cloakroom are excluded from liability. Guests leave such items at their own risk. If there is no cloakroom staff, no liability is accepted for items left in the cloakroom.
8 Lost property
Any items found on the premises or in the rooms of the Onoldiasaal must be handed in to the building or cloakroom staff. The further handling of lost property is governed by the provisions of §§ 978 ff. BGB (German Civil Code).
9 Image, film, and sound recordings
9.1 By participating in the event, guests give their irrevocable and free consent to the creation of image recordings of themselves during the event and to the use and exploitation of these images by Ansbach University of Applied Sciences (social media, press, print products). It cannot be ruled out that guests may be recognizable in image recordings used in the university’s public relations work.
9.2 The production of commercial image, film, and sound recordings of any kind by guests is strictly prohibited at the event venue. Commercial image, film, and sound recordings of any kind by guests require the prior written consent of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences is entitled to make its consent dependent on the agreement of a fee to be paid to it. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences must be informed in good time before the event of any planned reporting.
9.3 Violations of the provisions in section 9.2 may result in claims for damages or measures in accordance with section 12.1.
10 Safety regulations
The Bavarian Assembly Venue Ordinance applies in all cases. Escape and rescue routes must be kept clear.
11 Privacy Policy
11.1 The privacy policy of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, available at the following link, applies: https://www.hs-ansbach.de/datenschutz/
11.2 By purchasing a ticket for the graduation ceremony, graduates consent to having their private email address, provided during registration, added to Ansbach University of Applied Sciences’ alumni database. This data is collected solely for the purpose of maintaining contact with former students even after they have graduated and to inform them about relevant offers, events, or developments. The data will not be disclosed to third parties. Consent may be revoked at any time with future effect, e.g., by email to alumni@hs-ansbach.de.
12 House rules
12.1 The city of Ansbach exercises house rules on the grounds and in the rooms of the event. As the organizer, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences is entitled to issue expulsion orders and bans or take other appropriate measures to uphold the house rules of the city of Ansbach for the duration of the event as well as before and after the event. In particular, guests may be expelled from the event if they disrupt it, harass other guests, or have violated the terms of use in any other significant manner or repeatedly. Admission may be refused if there is reasonable suspicion that the guest will disrupt the event or harass other guests. In such cases, the ticket price will not be refunded.
12.2 Electronic devices, particularly cell phones, pagers, and watches with audible alarms, must be turned off at the venue during the graduation ceremony.
12.3 As a general rule, bringing your own food and beverages into the event venues and consuming them there is not permitted.
12.4 Smoking is prohibited in the event rooms and is permitted outdoors only in the designated areas.
12.5 If admission to a specific event is tied to a specific seat, the guest may only occupy the seat indicated on their ticket.
12.6 The private sale and resale of tickets is prohibited.
12.7 You must follow the instructions of the staff at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences.
13 Liability | Cancellation of the event, force majeure, important reasons
13.1 Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, its representatives, and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages of any kind suffered by a guest on the premises or grounds of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences and/or at the event location in cases of intent and gross negligence. In the event of gross negligence, liability for indirect damage and consequential damage is excluded.
13.2 If the event cannot be held due to force majeure, official orders, strikes, political events, or other important reasons, guests shall not be entitled to any claims for damages against Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, regardless of their nature. In such cases, the ticket price will not be refunded. If the event is rescheduled, the tickets remain valid.
13.3 Ansbach University of Applied Sciences is not liable for the constant or uninterrupted availability of the website and the services offered there.
13.4 The limitations of liability pursuant to Section 10 do not apply in the event of injury to life, limb, or health. In this case, the statutory provisions apply.
14 Protection of minors
The provisions of the law on the protection of minors in public apply to the graduation ceremony. Children under the age of 14 may only attend the graduation ceremony if accompanied by a legal guardian or person responsible for their upbringing. Young people between the ages of 14 and 18 may attend the graduation ceremony until midnight without a legal guardian, but after midnight they must be accompanied by a legal guardian or person responsible for their upbringing. If minors are attending, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences must be informed at the time of registration and upon entering the event. The age of the minor must be stated. In any case, it is mandatory for children, young people, and accompanying persons to carry official photo identification with them.
15 Severability clause
Should any provision of these contractual terms and conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these contractual terms and conditions. Instead, the provision shall be replaced retroactively by a provision that is legally permissible and comes closest to the content of the original provision.
16 Applicable law | Place of jurisdiction | Miscellaneous
16.1 The contract language is German.
16.2 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the conflict of law provisions of international private law and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. With regard to consumers, this choice of law only applies if it does not deprive them of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country of their habitual residence (principle of favorability).
16.3 The place of performance for all services arising from the contractual business relationships pursuant to Section 2 “Subject matter of the contract/implementation of the event” between Ansbach University of Applied Sciences and the guests is Ansbach.
16.4 The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, provided that the guests are not consumers but merchants, legal entities under public law or special funds under public law with their registered office in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany. This also applies if the guests do not have a general place of jurisdiction in the Federal Republic of Germany or the European Union or if their place of residence or habitual abode is unknown at the time the action is brought. However, in the above cases, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences is entitled to bring an action before the court at the guests’ place of residence.
16.5 Ansbach University of Applied Sciences reserves the right to amend the General Terms and Conditions at any time.
